fresh brewed sweet iced tea. Can't live without the stuff. From my travels I gather that its a southern drink (southeastern US).

Edit: Just remembered this is a favorite soft drink thread.

I have to say Mountain Dew or Welchs Grape.

FYI: in the south all sodas are reffered to as Coke. Im not joking. Example:

    Mom: You want a coke?

    Me: Yeah. whatcha got?

Mom: Dr Pepper and Mountain Dew

    Me: MD

It's got to be this, not sure if this is outside of the UK but I drink gallons of the stuff. Best hangover cure in the world other than my other favourite drink, as mentioned, a good cup of tea!!!! My Saturday/ Sunday days usually consist of alternating my intake of the two!!!!

Yeah, fresh iced tea can be quite nice. I think about a year or two ago during the summer I quite regularly made some on the basis of south-american maté. I brewed it like tea (obviously using way less of the stuff than you would need for the original ritual where you "re-brew" it many times), then poured it on ice cubes to cool it down quickly and afterwards added fresh lemon juice and a bit of syrup (at first I used elderflower, then grenadine when that bottle was empty). Thinking about it, that was quite a nice beverage - and had a nice caffeine buzz to it as well.

Hence why when combined with a bacon sandwich it catapults you out of a hangover so fast due to the massive sugar and salt content!!! Probably out of the frying pan into the fire in some way but I hate hangovers and it makes me feel better!!!

Bad news on the diabetes mate, exact same thing happened to a friend of mine but his was due to his massive Haribo, doughnuts and chocolate intake!!!

Yeah, with a bad hangover you totally need some kind of beverage with lots of sugar and some caffeine - sadly that usually worsens the whole heartburn issue which is no fun either
