When I worked at GC, the D.2 got returned as defective or DOA almost as much as the DJX700, which was the most-sold and also most-returned DJ mixer we had. Apparently they either had a bad run or their reconditioning works, because I haven't heard those complaints nearly as much lately.
I guess it is representative.
Gizmo had the same thing to say about the eq in his NUO 3 review which you'll find here on Skratchworx.
Which means I can mess about with the nuo EQ internally and see if I like it before investing in a nuo 4.0 (wanted a X:42 but pricing changes killed that).

Good call. The nuo 2/3/4.0 are very good mixers, great sound and build, no frills and (relatively) affordable.
I played with the knobs and faders on a 3.0 when I waited for the shopkeeper to dig up some Concordes and I had a very good impression. No wobbly bits, smooth and solid everything.
