God damnit. I can't handle this anymore. I ... read threads like these and then I want to go splurge.

    Now I want: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Novation...04-i1460806.gc

I'm going back to Guitar Center tomorrow during the day and will sit there the whole day playing with different keyboards.

That's the only keyboard controller I'm inclined to buy. It should be one of my next purchases. The keys on novations stuff are so great. The only tiny problem is that the pads are shit, but you have maschine so that doesn't matter.

Thing is if I picked it up, I would be hooking it up onto my Maschine. So I already have pads.

I really have to go and try out different keyboards.

    Take a look at this:

What do you guys think about buying shit off Craigslist? I mean I found a few good deals on these keyboards and one or two are super hard to believe! Like the price is a steal! He's selling it for like $350 when MSRP is $599 for a brand new one. The MKII Novation with 61 keys.

I really want to buy it, but I don't know if it's fully working or if anything is wrong with it.

I have an Axiom 61v2 and a real piano in my home and, while you can definitely feel the difference, it's not nearly as bad as people make it seem. In this price range (about $300) I think the Axiom has the best feel.

Yeah, thugbear2005 definitely knows what's up. I play several of the grand pianos at school and have had my Yamaha keyboard for 17 years. Yamaha works flawlessly as a midi controller. But, for the price range, I would suggest Axiom because of the feel when playing.

Well then I suppose this is completely a matter of opinion. When I played the axiom, it felt like it had this weird resistance throughout the keystroke, and then at the bottom it felt like hitting cork (bleh). The novation had no such resistance and the feeling at the bottom of the keystroke was much more satisfied (granted nothing feel quite like a hammer striking a string on a grand piano )

Let us know what you decide coldfuzion.

Im picking up the Novation 49 SL MK II keyboard tonight. Decided, and got a great price on it. It's brand new, sealed still, from craigslist at little over half the price a brand new one runs for.

Side Note: The one im buying is off craigslist so anyone have any things that I should watch for before buying it? And should I ask him if I can open it and try it out before as well? If everything is fine - which it should be - ill give him the cash?

Anyone? I'm leaving in an hour - any comments regarding this would be appreciated - sorry for hijacking the thread.
