Thanks mate!! i was worried there for a second...

analyzed a song and the waveform now displayed... it's a drag to re-analyze every single track though... But never the less,,, Suppose it has to be done

    Thanks again

Anyone who is surprised at what they got ought to do a little more reading before they make a purchase.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, of course they are but when peoples opinions show them to have done no research and have spent more time complaining than actually looking into the product, they leave themselves open to criticism.
So true Karlos - a couple of days in and so much on what TP2 ISN'T - not what TP2 IS.
    IMHO it is quite brilliant.
The update process was flawless and the transition smooth - well done NI.

There will probably never be VST support (control issues) at least not until they have NI VSTs that are purchase locked to Traktor somehow. Being unable to use VSTs is one of the main reasons I still happily use Traktor 3.4.

I'll work my way around the demo and see if my mind changes, but I'm kind of falling for another "player" if I'm going to buy new software.

It doesn't really matter how you grid, just make sure it's consistent across your music.

You can analyze the entire collection at once by selecting all on the track collection, right clicking, analyze. You can also do it in batches. If you've got songs that are beatgrided it's wise to lock them so Traktor doesn't change that.

Default Determing bar count when deck is stopped.

    Hey,

Just u/g'd to TP2 and am loving all the new toys.

One wee badger I can't get my head round is reading bar counts if the decks are stopped. If I moused over the timeline in TP1, it would give me the amount of bars from whatever cue point I had selected, now it gives me "snap" or "cue", which is cool but is there a way around this?

I still get bar count when the decks are playing but it's all a bit much for old hands like mine to set in/out cue and grid points for long cross fades.

    Cheers,

Not sure there is a fix. I would consider this a bug but yeah this really annoys me as well..

I also felt Tpro to s4pro wasnt all that big for me at least.....maybe because I havent gotten used to using the loop recorder all that much yet and that I also keep all my one shots on one file making the sample decks not that useful especially without key lock. If I had the choice to take a discount when I bought the s4 and keep Tpro instad of S4pro I would have. To me it just seems like Tpro2 is missing something for me to actually think it was a big improvement. With all that being said if I didnt already get Tpro2 for free and still had Tpro knowing what I know now I still would have paid for the upgrade, and I guess in the end maybe thats all that matters in the business world. One other huge thing is that Tpro2 seems very stable so far, so thats something I'm very happy about.
Ok, TPS4 to TPRO2 may not be a huge jump, but we've known that all along, haven't we? (at least since the official announcement of TPRO2 on this site which discussed the new features in this context). Its basically like us S4 users just got a sneak peak of the new software. NI never represented that TP2 was any significant departure from TS4-thus the free update. Indeed, it was even intimated at the time the KS4 came out that the software was basically a pre-version of a later Traktor.

    Default LED-output problems solved?

(When you used a lot of leds in a mapping, the sound would crackle and drop-out, this seems solved as far as I have experienced). Str8upDrew made an app for Pro (1) that solved this though.

Can anyone with a controller with a lot of LEDs (launchpad or something) test if he's able to map all the LEDs without any sound-problems?
i had the same problem with lots of LEDs + sound problems in Traktor Pro (1) with the RDJ2 in combination with the Novation LaunchPad. Tonight I will check if these annoying sound problems occur or not in Traktor Pro 2(Windows 7, 64bit)! If not, it will be great because a launchpad without LED's sucks.
