isnt this what cdjs are for? figured they woulda take usb sticks or hdds by now.

while this might be nice solution for djing in general, i feel of it as being a step backwards from controllerism. well, serves it purpose, i think.

    Default Its quite nice

The sound is great. Nothing short of phenominal imho.
The jogs wheels are as precise or more than any controller.
Although it probably wasnt intended for it, its really well suited for scratching and juggling.
To answer the question about midi, yes you can assign the CCs.
The reloop and touch rewind work well as hotcues.

read the tech specs. Pseudo isn't FULLY balanced therefore, they do not boast a balanced output.

Just to be clear, I was a Stanton Project Manager. But I left the company about 7 months ago and now work for Behringer. So I'm no longer there, but I know the product fairly well.

Hmm, shame it doesn't have a few more features - even at a higher price.

Kinda limited to 2 deck mixing but I really like it - and it's the future - laptops will be gone altogether in a few years.

    Definetly a landmark controller - big-up Stanton.

    Agreed!

The CUE button on the CDJ worked for samples for me ...for years!

I think it'll be considerably more than a few years before laptops to be gone. I mean it has to come full circle to the point that we hate on whatever is new because it's not real DJ'ing. That'll take a good 15 years at least.

i do like the idea of this as a house party type of setup. the lack of gain knobs is a bit of a pain... autogain software algorithms aren't always the best!

a mate had the numark idj2.. this trumps it hands down. the idj2 was such a pain to use and tracks took forever to conform.

I just love the feel of a laptop, and the sound quality. It's unmatchable IMO. The big screen to see the waveforms on, the tactile feedback of a keyboard for browsing.

For anyone wondering, that isn't a serious post. I'm just theorising what people will say in 15 years, based on what vinyl purists say today
