Show Your Setup Part II

A few pics of my setup. New monitors are next on the agenda, but right now I've got a pair of old Mackie SRM450's that have yet to have an overheating issue.

Clean bro, nice to see a simple setup here and there (even though it's pricey!). How's the rodec? I hear only good things about them despite never seeing them.

Thanks! It has taken a long time to acquire this setup, but I think it is right where I want it in terms of DJing (my production setup is a major work in progress!) other than wanting some small monitors in place of those giant Mackies.

I am in love with the Rodec. I sold my Rane 57 and have never second guessed that decision. It sounds great, has wonderful faders, and the 3rd channel really adds a lot of options with using decks C and D. I think if you are using outboard FX, then the connections for that will seem a little wonky, especially compared to a lot of other mixers; the Rodec uses 2 TRS jacks, one for the L and one for the R, with the tip being Send and the R being return, which makes connecting to an outboard processor an odd experience. But I don't use outboard, so...

Hmmm...You know what we truely need? A "show your setup" forum, where each thread is a setup. That way,

People can discuss in more detail about the things they have (and don't)
People who have shown their setup can also show updates in the same thread
People can stop quoting other peoples posts/ setups,

making the discussions more fun.
And in turn, the discussions about the setups can get more intense
People can subscribe to the forum, to get updates on new setups

I'm sure there are more advantages. What do you think?

it would be the least active subforum by far though. There just aren't enough posts.

I'm tired of looking at controllers and buttons...

Everybody has a preference and it is a show your set up.
