My basic home production/DJ setup... my interface is a Focusrite Pro 24 DSP, using some cheap Numark NPM5 monitors and an Audio Technica 2035 condensor mic for recording drum hits and one shot samples, as well as doing live DJ set broadcasts on shoutcast! This table is perfect height for stand-up DJing, and the chairs tuck nicely under it when Im not sitting down working on music/getting sidetracked on youtube and this website : ]

I made a mapping for the MPK49 that allows control of 2 decks, filters, eqs, 2 fx units and 6 cue points for each track... I also run TouchOSC on my android phone and made a custom Kaoss-Pad like mapping with Puredata for traktor, mainly only use this when I play live (cant connect to my phones wi-fi while I'm doing online broadcasts)

some cool rope lights I hooked up the other day! Also have a strobe light and a small laser light show to put my house guests in a full blown rave environment! I need a better laser light show though, any recommendations?

Soon to come: ordering a dn-sc2000! when I get paid tomorrow ; ] also getting a laptop stand at some point, right now Ive got enough real estate for another small controller like the sc2000 though...

Setup: S4 (12inchskinz), X1 (12inchskinz), Midi Fighter, Mac Book Air 13.3" 1.8ghz i7 Mid 2011, Magma Gig Bag, Sennheiser Headphones, Crappy PC Speakers/Sub

[Not Pictured] Maschine, 4,000 Watt amp, 4 Pyle Pro DJ PA Speakers/Subs

Keep the PA and production gear in my Garage/Studio, keep my gig stuff in my bedroom so I can practice quietly and not piss off my roommates too bad

Looking to ditch the Midi Fighter and the X1 in favor of a single Midi Fighter Pro Beat Masher. I'm a minimalist

Robotninja - Definitely digging the setup !!! It's the same as mine! I was thinking about doing the same thing with the MIDI Fighter / X1, but i've fallen in love with the X1 as of late. I may jus sell my MidiFIghter and pick up a Pro (beatmasher as well), lemme know what you end up doing!

Awesome color combo too btw .

Yeah, figured the Blue/Orange would match all the leds on the S4/X1

I'm tossing the X1 because I don't use the 4 deck layout, I prefer to mix 2 tracks and use Decks C/D for Sample Banks which I load up sound bytes like: "I'm Ron Burgandy, Go Fuck yourself San Diego!". The x1 is good if you want tactile control of 4 decks, but 2 + samples, not really.

Additionally 3 controllers is cumbersome for setup/tear-down because I have to add a USB Hub with a Power Adapter, Mac's only downfall is 2 USB Ports

Noticed you have the Novation 49 SL MKII and a pair of KRK's, Those are exactly what I'm looking to get for my Production stuff. Whats your thoughts on the Novation and the KRK's? Can't decide on the 25/49/61, 25 is uber portable but limited.

Well they match my Macbook hehe. But I agree, the rubber knobs don't fit the brushed aluminium look so I'll replace them with robust metal knobs in the future. Anywho there are lots of options for skinz, I highly recommend one. They protect your gear, make it less "plastic toyish" and don't leave finger smudges all over the place.
