    Default Getting FL Studio sometime in the next month

    Any good tutorials or anything out there? Im already somewhat familiar with the software because I have a friend that used it for a time and know the basics but Id like to start looking into how to do more advanced things before I get it

    This guy has amazing videos and takes you from the absolute basics to getting familiar with the DAW- and you can buy an entire couple DVDs full of useful tutorials for cheap if you follow his links.

    I'd suggest that + The Dance Music Manual by Rick Snoman, which will give you a primer on sound design, effects, theory, and an overview of genres which are applicable to any DAW.

    I started with FL and listening to this guys tutorials before moving on to Ableton. Although his tutorials are heavy on FL Specific technique, the principles are still good in any DAW- especially his later videos which talk about the importance of using reversed samples and very subtle variations to truly make your song lively.
