REALLY want to go to the Berghain. Looks like an amazing venue.

The music will be filtered below 20hz anyhoo, so you shouldn't get sound being produced below that by those speakers.. :P Check out the Rob Acid mastering video for more info about why they filter off the low end - it's a good un...

and for bass, how about this:

Dillinja's custom made Valve soundsystem - supposed to be the loudest and cleanest for bass. Not heard it personally though.

the chamber of the heart known as the Auricle (or atrium), is very sensitive to lower frequency vibration. i dont think its referenced here but here is more info on said chamber. of course bass is shaking every part of your body, but i fond this part especially interesting as bass can often replicate the feeling of your heart fluttering like youre in love

this reminds me of a story when i was doing uhmm kinda do-everything-boy at some music festival. I was giving a hand to a sound guy (he was supposed to be one of the best in the country as i was told later) and he tells me: "It's all in the bass, boy. Chicks dig it, and if you do it realy right, they can get a real orgasm just from the bass". then i witnessed a sound check --> just empty hall with speakers and no ppl standing in between, and i sware by my very ASS (which is precious to me) that i saw air moving and fluctuating from all that heavy basslines in front of the subs

They told me this morning that's the diafragm who gives us this feeling of bass, of course the body is shaking 'cause of the vibrations (air & ground), but this "strange" feeling it's coming from the diafragm who's "moving" anything in your body.
You can get sick if you're "feeling" (and not earing 'cause they're freq too low for being listened by human's ears) some very low sound, if the freq. is the same as your stomach's resonancy freq. --> this one starts "resonating" and you can guess how does it finish...
But if it's not this exact res. freq. it's just give you this great sensation of vibration for all over your body.
Well, that's a pretty simple view of the story and I don't know if anyone can follow what I'm trying to say, but when the teacher was talking and giving a lot of examlpes, it was very clear for me

i guess it really hits every soft mushy chamber youve got inside ya (your organs) and idfferent frequencies will affect different chambers accroding to the resonance of said chambers. depending also how full your chambers are, have you eaten recently?

but i think one of the first thing that will be dammaged are the eardrums. even when not able to hear the low freqs they will still recognize it. i was told by an otorhinolaryngologist (ear nose throat medic) that the low freqs are the ons that will cause a lot more damage to ur ears than the high freqs. they just hurt and aren´t that dangerous...
