Haha please don't take my car metaphor too seriously, picked a bad example thereThe only thing I wanted to point out is that for me, when I know something can make me so happy by just looking at it and showing it around, I don't care I have to hundreds of Euros extra for it. Because I think it's worth it.
I certainly don't want to claim that my Macbook Air is the best computer/laptop/ultrabook there is in its class. I would never dare to claim that a Mac is better in doing anything than a PC. But my Mac certainly fits my needs better than any Windows PC I owned ever did. It doesn't fuck up when I fuck up when doing things on it![]()
so does anyone rekon i could get away with an high spec acer laptop that cost around 700 then i could upgrade my mixtrakcpto (which is falling apart) to a kontrol s2 ? or shall i savee and get a good laptop?
Dude that's way way more power than you need. Traktor Pro will run flawlessly on a $400 laptop. It's not in any way shape or form a demanding program.

check ur local craigslist, there should be MBPs under $600, plus most of the software is based of a mac osx.

I find it hilarious that Mac users think PC users need to 'optimize' their systems for DJing.
FYI, they don't.
