Default Switching to Iphone after years of Blackberry

Just bought the latest Torch 9860 last week, the BB answer to the Iphone. The phone was amazing while it lasted but it looks like I'm now a part of the "bricked blackberries" group! Found the problem that I'm having and it looks like many other people around the world are having the same issue. Even after replacements have been sent to them, the issue repeats itself with new phones too!

So this brand new phone lasted less than 2 weeks. Going into AT&T today and switching over to the Iphone...bye bye blackberry! It was a great run!

Great change, I love the iPhone because it works. And by saying that it works, I said enough already.

    Enjoy your new phone

Unfortunate man! When the Torch 9800 first came out (second day) i bought it coming from a previous Sony Ericsson and iPhone user (i had a HTC Diamond but hated it) and thought i wouldn't like it, but i love it more than my iPhone..

But i will probably still get a iPhone next.. *touch wood* i haven't had any problems with my BB yet.

For sure guys! Yea I've been a bb addict for many years now, sticking by them and even standing up for them against my apple and android friends. I still stuck with them when I was available for upgrade just now but over a period of time, the little things have added up. After looking more into my issue on Crackberry.com, it seems like BB is just not as reliable as they used to be. I'm not willing to have my phone replaced only to have the problem repeated again (which is what many people have experienced already).

Very sad to leave RIM, but if their new phones aren't even stable anymore, I've lost faith for now. Let's see what QNX will have to offer!

I just tried to backup my BB Torch just now. My phone then decided to block me out then wipe everything..

Away to actually buy a 4S cash tomorrow.

@farhan: yeah man the bold 99XX series is definitely sick but unfortunately even these phones are prone to the same problem that I and a lot of people are having. The crackberry forum is running wild with bold and torch users going crazy over "bricked" phones.

@Liambo, you're making the right choice man.

Got the 4S and absolutely loving it :-) Slowly getting into apps now! Feel free to recommend essential apps you all have!

I did the same thing last month after 3 Blackberries.

I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. We've been missing out!

    BB's are BALLS man.

There are only 2 phones these days that is worth getting.

    Android Phone...and an iPhone.

The rest will just stay BS....they are limited by their little OS's.

    I still miss the keyboard.

I wish someone would buy out RIM, use their BB handset, redo the insides and run Android.
