1100 for the pair, a new in box M5G is $1500 for one turntable. What am I missing? That's only a little higher than pairs of stock beat up MK2s sell for.

Sorry…misread your post. I thought you meant 1100 each.
And, yeah…I still think that's a bit ridiculous.
Mine are cosmetically a little beat, but internal groudning, good RCAs, electronically fine, and a free LED upgrade whenever I get around to bringing them back (didn't have blue/white in stock when I got them) for like $600 for the pair. They're also mk2s, so maybe that's a difference…but if these prices hold, I could literally buy them referb'd from a shop, repaint, and sell for a profit.
Weird.
I used to internally ground all the decks I sold but it can sometimes cause timecode calibration issues so I just install fresh ground wires. And yes, you could repaint and sell for profit if you're willing to put in the work. Ever look on ebay? There is a seller who consistently sells pairs of techhnics with custom paint for $1500. It takes hours and hours and lots of energy if you have the patience. I'm in the process of sanding the paint off one table now and am already worn out.
Weird…I have't had calibration issues. What is it supposed to cause?
It's not supposed to cause any issues and I personally haven't had any problems with any decks I've done. Occasionally I've heard of people complaining after the mod was done they would get weird scopes and I've had people say they didn't want their tables internally grounded which is why I didn't do this pair.
who knows I probably will internally ground this next pair.
Xone, I made need to try to get some info out of you in order to try to do this myself, do you pick them up off ebay? What are the key things that must be working with the techs when u buy them?
Here I've been getting asked this a lot so I made a thread: http://forum.djtechtools.com/showthr...918#post434918
