The only overkill is when you lack passion. None gear will be "overkill" enough if you're filled with modjo.

Thanks for the encouragement MonsieurLam.

[QUOTE=MonsieurLam;436650]You're welcome. But you'd better be good, with such a monster of a controller :P
Hah hah, well I've started back in the mid 80's when house music was at it's infancy and was not preferred by the masses, in fact the only way to hear some great dance/house tracks was usually at underground clubs or gay clubs which is where all the action is at anyways. So musically speaking, I have been around for awhile witnessing the evolution of EDM first hand as it transform into many arrays of other genre. Nevertheless, great tracks will always remain great tracks and will always move the crowd. "Good" not sure how you measure that, but for me, it's not about the tools that I have, or the software or the tricks. Those are just the means enabling me to help execute my vision and passion for the music that I love to create a great vibe on the dance floor from one track to the next. Keeping it funky is what's it all about for me.
Cheers
Does anyone knows if the shortcut keyboard commands for Traktor Pro 2 will still work with the software on the laptop properly with the EG VCI 400 edition controller which has the special mapping when plugged into the laptop? I am completely new to the Midi controller mapping so please accept my apology if this question seems redundant to the expert controllerist.
Keyboard mapping should still work mate. But the VCi400 has so many layers of control that I very much doubt you'll even need to touch your computer.
