You'll still have to mix old tracks by hand, but that's the fun of it (or, switch to Itch...)
That really doesn't help much of anything.

Like others have said I don't think they'll be anything like warpable grids.

I could see where when I have certain songs playing that I might want to pre load a bunch of sampled one-shots, then maybe slowly assemble segments of the next song's beat, then fully bring in the song. But at that point I could use up a whole "page" (e.g. 16) of mapped points. I think this is so since in this screenshot of TP2.5 the C and D decks are named "urban campfires" and "sic transit". Either that or it just represents a "page" from the 4 that are available.
Yes you'll be able to do that.

    From NI
Each cell can hold a loop or one-shot sample, which you can load from the included TRAKTOR content, import from your hard drive, or capture live from your DJ set. If you’re also a producer, break down your tracks and arrange loops and samples by groups (drums, bass, leads etc) - jam your productions in a spontaneous and flexible DJ-centric way. Seamlessly mix out of your remix session and into a regular track deck at any time- blur the line between live performance and DJing.

Not sure what you mean by map an effect. If you mean automate then I don't think so. If you mean apply an effect to a single sample you can do that now by activating the FX for each slot you want the effect active on.

The whole average thing is kind of a bummer...Traktor is practically built around tight beat grids, it's too bad they can't implement a drifting grid.
    nope.

Are you using a mixer? I don't see one in your sig so I'm assuming not. What you describe above you could do definitely do. I'm thinking a K2 and two F1's might just be the ticket for a complete setup.
Nice to know that someone's out here who spins that too :d. So, you're using sample decks right now? I'm gonna check out your SoundCloud right now...

At the moment I'm not using a mixer, but the plan is to purchase the DB2 within a few months (past few days the price went up with € 200, bummer...) and then use the X1 next to it and maybe the F1? I'm so curious and excited about the possibilities, I'm sure that there are more vids to come without timecode, because timecode doesn't interest me.

4 banks with 4 samples and 4 pages, just think about the possibilities! Just punch a crash when the break is coming, a whoooooshhhh as build up, claps right trough it, hmmm...

I was wondering, is it possible to use it just like Maschine? Sometimes I hear Chris Liebing/Speedy J/Richie Hawtin and they have a clap loaded in Maschine and then just push one of the 16 pads and hear the clap at a certain moment, if you know what I mean?

Not sure if this has been answered yet but what happens when you switch pages of samples? Does your current page stop playing? Also just to be clear can you play all 16 samples at the same time from the remix deck? Also for anyone who beta tested it does loading a remix deck with all of your clips at the same time cause a delay in audio?

Check the mixcloud link in my sig, that's the latest mix and has sample deck usage in it. #'s 32, 33, and 34 don't really have much sample deck usage because I'm in the process of changing my setup completely. go back to 31 and most previous have heavy sample deck usage.

Yes, you can sync Maschine with Traktor, but it's not perfect and much easier on a Mac. Read up on it here http://www.traktorbible.com/en/t2_maschine_ta10.aspx

Only one sample at a time per slot can be played. So it sounds like the stress on the audio engine won't be any different than it is now. To me this update is really about being able to organize these samples in a way that makes them easier to use as groups.

    Gonna check those out!

But I ment to say is if the F1 can be used just like the Maschine, but I'm guessing not. Just put one shots at 1 of the 16 bars, but I guess that's not possible?

I'm curious how the scratching works. Can you toggle on and off individual samples that you want to be able to scratch or is it limited to the whole deck, I.E. if you had 4 samples playing in D all 4 would scratch. Anyone who's played with one know?
