He scoffed at Hawtin and called Aoki a legend.

Not even a troll would dare say that.

Hmm maybe I'm misinformed, me being from a little island thats miles away and all, but absolutely NO-ONE knows anything about Herc or the origins of hip-hop over here, even a lot of DJ's. Hell most DJ's barely know the origins of house. They probably attribute it to the Hacienda in Manchester ffs. whoops! carry on, gents!

what about someone who is DJing the entire night at a college house party? 8-3? i think maybe an hour and a half of minimal to let people come in, get drinks, and socialize, then start playing a mix of house, electro, and trance throughout the rest of the night?

College house party, much like a festival gig, is a different beast compared to an actual club night. If you played any minimal you'd lose people the first 20 minutes

No, just play all 90's/early 2000's radio hits and you'll be golden I'd say

Also, when did minimal become an early night thing? Seems like it's place is like a couple hours before sunrise to me. In a dark room with very few adornments. And a fucking huge sound system.

I'd never put up with it at 10pm.
