I disagree. I think people with deep pockets will buy what they want, regardless of their skill level.
Products shouldn't be priced based on skill level and exclusivity. I don't really see how someone can complain about something costing less than it does simply because it means more people will have it. Seems like a elitist way of thinking to me.
Most noobs aren't afraid of spending crazy amounts money on gear they don't need. Probably why Pioneer is so successful
may seem like that, but its already happened where ive gone to a club that i spin at on a day that im not working only to hear the dj that is spinning totally killing a decent set with overuse or misuse of effects. Dude literally doesn't know WTF he's doing because the song is in the middle of a build-up and this guy is trying to spiral down, because hes got a RMX-1000 which automatically means that he is obligated to use it every 10 seconds like an asshat. Im not talking about noobs that sit in their bedrooms and dont affect my business. Im taking about the guys that are just getting their foot in the doors on the less popular weekdays (at the same clubs im spinning at) and using them as a total practice spot to familiarize themselves with the unit instead of taking the gig seriously. Those guys tend to be the same guys that are intimidated by any gear that at or above that $1000 price.
Again, what i think of noobs and what you think of noobs may be totally different, but i doubt that noobs in any sense of the word are whats driving pioneer's high end sales. Maybe on the controllers, but while some noobs do buy the full flagship line, those are far and few in-between.
@Louie_V
be grateful, man. They make you sound even better than you are if they abuse the effects. It's all relative.
