No matter how I trigger flux mode, once you touch the vinyl the green tracking head gets moved.

It's even possible to do a 1 beat loop, rewind the vinyl back to the start of the tune, the loop keeps playing then when you exit the loop (and flux mode de-activates) the playhead jumps back to the beginning of the tune where the tracking head is.

I really want to know what happens with the Z2 (and its dedicated flux mode button) and timecode vinyl, I can't believe NI would leave it like this.
Thanks for confirming dude. This is what i feared....

    BAH!!!

Its a simple change in theory, that NI could do to allow this functionality (not letting the Playhead be controlled by the TC in one of the commands in Fluxmode), but it could be much deeper than that.

    Now we wait....

Well it's going to seem conflicting

i can use flux and scratch with the timecode, with a foot pedal
Basically i have two switches, one is mapped to set a cue point ("select/set+store hot cue" with value X, set to "hold") the second to erase it, when flux is activated, i just set my cue point with switch 1, do my thing while holding the switch. When done scratching with this part in the song i can just erase it.

I tried to map a trickery like the one above with "jump to last cue point", but it doesnt work with flux, because flux can tell when you are holding the "cue point X", but cannot understand that you are "holding" the "jump to last cue point".

Is it just me or does looping not work the same way anymore? My mapped button wont work for me :S very odd, it did in 2.5.1...i loop quite a bit. other than that 2.6 seems solid to me!

I like to hope this is true, but alas everything I try suggests that it's impossible. Are you sure that you can activate flux, stop the turntable with timecoded vinyl and the green head keeps moving?

Because although I can make it look like flux is working, when I look closely the tracking head is NOT constantly moving.
Anyone know how I can record video of my screen to show what I mean?

Could you map all to one switch with deleting on invert or you actually want two switches for each state?

Today I had both my decks start playing backwards at the same time, and the bpm readout was hitting as high as 1000 bpm. Im hoping it was just dusty records or needles, but im not sure.

No, because when you press the first time to create the hotcue, flux (which is already on) hasn't yet kicked in, you have to press it a second time, and keep pressing to jump to the newly created hotcue with flux on and be able to scracth from the cue.

So if you have the delete hotcue on the "inverted", you can't jump back to the cue point.

What should be doable is : map the first button to activate flux + create the hotcue on the inverted. And then the second button is delete hotcue + disable flux.

Also on the subject of loops when in "flux", on my dicers, the loops "sticks" (really toggle like they should), while on my vci the loop is acting as "hold" instead of toggle when fluxing. So i guess it depends what command you use, you get different reactions from flux mode.

Stoping the turntable completely i didn't try. But i was scratching the ish outa those cue points, and i'm certain that i held the record to a full stop more than one time, and flux worked.
