1. Do you have the right decks selected on the 3000? You need to make sure you are on Deck A and Deck B and that it is routed correctly in the Traktor Audio routing. Also that Traktor is set for internal mixing.
2. Do you have just audio selected and not video? The crossfader can control both audio and video and even if you don't have anything video hooked up if you don't have the 3000 set right and its on video nothing may work. If video is selected whatever audio settings were there before will always stay, so you may think you are doing everything right but the 3000 may be inadvertanly set to output decks C & D. Make sure the crossfader is in the middle, make sure you are controlling audio.
If you are seeing audio on the meters of the 3000 then you know audio is coming in and there is something preventing the audio from coming out. Most likely it has to be something on the 3000 that is pushed or not set right. I also see there is a deck/master switch. I don't know what thats about but you should be online downloading the manual and reading it front to back.
I hate to say it like this and I don't mean to sound mean but, if you can't figure this out, then yea, it may be time for a new hobby because this is basic DJ stuff. You need to learn your gear and know what every button does because somewhere on that controller something is keeping sound from reaching the outputs. I had a gig yesterday where I literally had to switch soundcards in the middle of the gig. I had to pull wires out, change the preferences in Traktor and did everything without anyone even knowing, without the music stopping. (this is where my NDX 800 came in) If you can't solve this simple problem at home, how do you expect to be able to handle any trouble shooting when you play a gig?
