im going to bet you are having a drive issue
Personally this sounds to me like you are having hard drive failure.

the machine you are currently using...... was it a referb?
Have you installed tons of things on it, but havent really removed the programs your are not really using anyway?
Was this machine EVER infected by a bug that you removed?

If any two of those answers are YES..... im still going to bet, your drive is failing

Amd USB chipset have had ongoing issues with transport sometimes try a powered USB hub also are your processes spiking when this happens.

Hate to say this that even multicore support 1.8 is low really low....

Maybe a heat issue also laptop getting hot?

No, i bought it new, no it hasn't got unneccessary programs + I had another account, where more stuff has been turned off and no, I have always had really good and paid antivirus software.

+ I wouldn't believe in driver problems, because problems have occurred with 3different setups:S

if you buy a macbook, please upgrade the RAM yourself. Most of the time it's far more cheaper to buy a second-hand 2gb instead of four or 8 and upgrade it with some new RAM (Upgraded my macbook (late 2008) last week 5$ per GB, ther is now 5 GB in my macbook (1 + 4))

    +1

Problems on AMD CPU's started with version 2.5 and up. There's one thing you can try. If it works, you'll have to do this every time you start Traktor.

    - Make sure Traktor is running
    - Open the Task Manager (right click on the clock and open from menu or press Shift+Ctrl+Esc)
    - Open the tab Processes
    - Find the Traktor.exe instance
    - Right-click Traktor.exe
    - Select "Set Affinity" from the menu
    - In the window that opens, deselect all options except the last processor
    - Click OK
    - Close the Task Manager
    - Do not close Traktor, just keep going

See if the CPU load drops after a few seconds and if there are any glitches or hiss. Like OmniRoss I gave up also and got myself a Macbook Air 13" but the 2011 model (with the faster Samsung 256GB SSD!) which was on sale for €400 less. Until today never had any problem with it.
