If you're not willing to put in the time and effort yourself...

Move aside and let people who are get the gigs. That's all part of the game really. If you're not willing to do the work now, will you ever in the future? It's something very easy to do if you train yourself to it, and it's part of learning the ins and outs of your own music. You have someone else set your cue-points... you aren't going to know if they are any good or not.

This whole idea honestly disgusts me.

IMO, If you can't be arsed or don't have the time to do this with your library (it takes less than a min per track) then you have more stuff than you should or really need.

On a serious note, this has been one of the things that has bothered me about digital dj'ing. Songs are so cheap, that I buy way too many. Back in the vinyl days, you weren't buying marginal 12's because it was so damn expensive. I can't even imagine all the people that just steal tunes. Gigs upon gigs of tunes they'll never play.

It's not only the price, now you get hundreds of releases a day so selective digging has become a much more time consuming task.

I love DJing, but not the song preparation. If I was short on time I would definitely pay someone to do it for me.

It takes less than 30 seconds to warp a track in Live and it's even quicker in Traktor. If you get good, you can do it while performing...
