Thanks for the advice! I'm gonna take a chance with her sound system... I told her that the music won't be extremely loud, and she's fine with that, Hopefully all goes well Thanks!

Watch the drinks over the gear. Don't let people hold there beers/cocktails over the gear as they drunkenly try to talk to you.

If someone makes a request say:

ROUND 1: "Yes. I think I have that."
    ROUND 2: "It's coming up."
ROUND 3: "You didn't hear it?"

Don't tell people "No" unless you have a bouncer/security guard/MMA friend withing 10 feet.

Great way to ignore requests! ^_^

Also, concerning my set-up. I already have another Graduation Party in July, and i was able to borrow unpowered JBL speakers... But no mixer.
What would I need to run a successful set-up... (Specific gear)
I have a 4Trak, do I need another mixer? And what type of XLR cables? I have no clue

Have you ever tried to mix on a surround sound system?

I used to have one, and it was impossible to beatmatch while using one of the surround speakers as a monitor. I assume it had something to do with the latency in the sound waves since it was a 5.1 system.

I've never been able to confirm this, but I would consider this before stepping into this situation and realizing you can't beatmatch because of a delay.

However all this was in the days of manual beatmatching, so I guess with Traktor's "sync" it doesn't matter.

How much Latency can it produce? If Its not nearly instant, I just won't do sudden drops...

Enough to make it impossible to manually beatmatch.

Again, I haven't been able to confirm this, as my system is the only surround system I've played on.

    Yeah.

BTW "latency" is a general term that can be used for anything...

Yes, but only if it's used sensibly/in accordance with the laws of physics

To clarify, the ONLY way this would even make the smallest bit of sense is if you were outputting S/PDIF and the surround processor had a DSP in it which took its sweet ass time decoding the signal. Sound waves themselves have a latency of 0.3ms/m, incidentally.
