    Like I said - it's the early part of a multi-headliner night.

So - which is it? It probably depends on how high an opinion you have of yourself...

Don't be offended by that last statement - it has always been a DJ's prerogative to think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Even if he is on the 7pm 'til 9pm slot.

The Truth is - it is at least as hard to be great warm up DJ as it is to be a great main act.

And I'll tell you this - if people in Bristol had paid to see a Dubstep act, and they walked through the door and heard Electro House being played by some DJ they'd never heard of before, then said DJ would be dodging flying pints of piss REAL quick!

I totally understand, but what you have to understand is that this crowd is a bunch of students during the back to school "frosh week" phase of the local university (of which I also attend). They're not dubstep connoisseurs, they're a bunch of kids testing the limits of mixing alcohol cocaine and extacy. If you could recommend some dubstep that is a little more light and better for an opening set that would be awesome (record labels). Dubstep is far from my usual.

This is also a recipe for disaster. Play what you play. Watch for the response you get. I'd stick to your electro house set, but don't play all of the bangers. Establish a groove and keep it going.

NO ONE wants to hears you blowing the lid off the place at 9pm...
