    1) 2 USB's. FINALLY. I wonder what type of certification its going to get. Rekordbox is a given but Serato/Traktor? Will we be able to utilize two separate software's on one mixer?
    2) Isolator on the FX. Very RMX 1000 esque.
    3) A blue indicator light underneath the cue button to indicate which channels are being effected by FX. Thats just smart use of extra mixer space in a dark booth.
    4) Probably a better soundcard to rival the DJM S9 + DJM 2000 Nexus soundcard. Better quality sound is certainly worth it.
    5) Magvel Fader Pro just like the DJM S9, guaranteed to be welcomed by anyone who scratches.
    6) More FX are always welcomed.
    7) Better FX screen to see timing and depth of effects compared to the previous iteration.

Either way if this comes in at the old price point then Pioneer has a worthy successor on their hands.
    1. Traktor / Serato?, well forget that one, Pioneer have ditched both companies as they are inferior and Native a bunch of Aholes.
    2. Isolator is nothing new, we had that on DJM 909 and DJM1000 before, so this should be standard on any other mixer and nothing to rave about. Especially on a mixer for about 2-3000$, like DJM 800 / 900, so its beyond me why it was not added before DJM 900 and DJM 2000.
    3. Thats because you going to be able to use dual efx not just one like DJM 800 / 900, more like DJM 900 esqe features. not 2x50 but some additions. most likley 2 standard efx channels and layer with soundcolor.
    4. Why?, if you want better soundcard and magvel fader, buy a S9
    5. NO, wont happen, just like DJM 909, the Magvel or Digifader on DJM909 were exclusive to battlemixers. you dont buy a clubmixer to scratch.
    6. More?, as always not to many, as they will launch cheaper gear during 2016 that have some killer FX, some new, but mostly old stuff. what they should have done and ive talked with pioneer several times about this, they should have had software/upgradable effects packages like VST or any other professional plugin. then you can streamline and program the mixer as you want. that would be best. but i dont se that happening like the other stuff mentioned before. Pioneer does this for the money, not the true unflinching love as before.
    7. Personally they could have increased the size abit to get more realestate and larger screen. i dont care, have to buy a new case anyway.
    8. Will be interesting to see the new players that are planned for March / May 2016, as its a new whole ecosystem and that explanes why some guys ditch their somewhat new Nxs Purchases.
    9. Kind a funny though, the people that stay true to Pioneer has always rediculed and mocked other brands like Denon for beeing to advanced with several buttonpushes for several functions. and now Pioneer land Smack in the middle. *lol*

New Mixer, New Players and maybe a new EFX like RMX. and video for those who still are interested and dont want to drive DVD like DVJ 1000 and burn DVDs.

There will never be another DVJ or video disc player. It's all about software now in video world. There's amazing programs out there like Resolume or VDMX which will give better results than any standalone player could. Plus disc media is dead. Blu-Ray will be the last generation of optical media. If anything, the XDJ2000 that I'm sure they will announce (without a disc drive), will have built in timecode generation for Rekordbox so VJs can sync media to the players perfectly. There's currently "hack" software that pulls metadata from ProDJ Link on cat5 cable, but nothing official from Pioneer. Rekordbox DJ might expand one day to offer a service like Serato video as well

Default USB-A Port (Top right hand side)

So here's a thought I had. What if the USB-A Port at the top right hand corner did a little more than just facilitate Recording/Playback of material from a thumb drive...

Has anyone else noticed what looks like a 3 position switch next to it?
    1. Playback
    2. Recording
    3. Hmmm, what about SEND & RETURN to the RMX-1000 App Pioneer launched. iOS supports multichannel audio IN & OUT of the iPad and iPhone so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that you could connect an iPad running RMX-1000 App and simultaneously record your set at the same time.

With that in mind, does anyone else feel like the fader curve switches on the top plate are kind of in prime real estate space for something that most people are unlikely to change regularly (if ever, unless there are multiple DJs back to back). I can think of better uses for that space on a DJM-900. If you could connect to the RMX app, making room for the 4 primary knobs on the mixer would have been a good idea.

you can't record directly to USB stick, BUT, you can use the charging cable for your phone to plug in your phone to the new Send/Return USB port and use a recording app on your phone to record audio thru the charging port

Oh, and you gotta love the clip LED This mixer will be great and a industry standard but I gotta make some more fun out of it
"clipping indicator : the previous DJM had so much headroom it was hard to know when it was clipping"
No, it's not hard to know when you are clipping if you are not deaf. How about you know how to use (or better to say: look at) master VU meter and stay out of red?

agreed. this just means DJs will push it right to the top just before the Clip light. they still won't leave themselves headroom on the VU meter. The worst I've seen is looking at photo's & videos of Skrillex. during the breakdowns of his songs the VU meter is full in the red. it must sound like garbage

Just because the signal is in the red doesn't mean the sound is distorted and he's clipping like crazy. Pioneer mixers have a ton of headroom and proper club systems are setup to where you can push the mixer that high without having to worry about issues like you would at home with your own set of studio monitors. Technically going into the red is a no no but realistically you can play into the red and you aren't doing any harm if everything is setup the right way. I'm no expert per say, but any of the large clubs I've played at, everyone plays just into the red and I do it as well.
