no but you can hold the record with your hand...figured this wasnt an issue for you. in your first post, you said you were going to use CDJs

Yeah, can hold it but still risky if you want precise cutoff. Anyway, would be great if someone could try this and confirm.

You can get echo tails on a DDM4000, or any other mixer where you can cut the input signal to the FX unit(s).

Any users of Kaoss pad mini 2? How they affect the sound when used inline?

I do like the Kaoss Pad - I bet you'll have lots of fun with 2 of 'em... Those Input Level knobs are gonna get tweaked to hell...

Shouldn't make any difference if they are place pre- or post-mixer.

Wasn't clear enough...Talking about Mini Kaos pad 2 now, not Quad, I'm concerned about the sound quality in general, when signal is just passed thru un-effected, because the mini has only mini trs in/out and not sure if the out is proper line level as it says "headphones" out. I'm assuming the Quad is better in this regard but is more bulky and flashes (can the flashing be turned off?).

    It won't make a difference.

There's a guy called Beardyman that uses the Kaos pads - check him out on Youtube.
