    That's not techno.

But as others have said, genre is subjective and Beatport may not follow the norms that you or I use for assigning that description.

Well yes I guess people dancing on your music don't care about genres, as soon as you make them dance you won the party.

I've asked this question because yesterday I was reviewing all my music library to dispatch tracks in the right genres, to make sure it doesn't make an infinite list of genres and sub-genres on my CDJs when I search for tracks in live sets.

Lol, I guess I've got my final answer here. I classified it as "Instrumental", with all of my instrumental version of tracks. But Tribal House is what approches the most the feeling of the track I guess.

Absolutely true, I've seen so much tracks that are 100% Electro House stuck on Prog House.
Next time I'll trust my ears more than Beatport.
Its Tech House. Not tribal at all.

Can you sense the irony? People are saying don't get suck to genres and they intertwine and now the debate is yet on again which genre it exactly is

The first thing i do when i get a new tune is delete the contents of the "genre" field.

Interesting, how do you organize your tracks then?

I tend to think more in moods / times of night etc. But this would work equally well for genres.

Because a tune can fit more than one genre, i use playlists to represent different genres / moods etc.

So a tune will be in several different playlists (which could represent dfifferent genres if you wanted)

I agree with goodbytes. The track was flat and really didn't go anywhere. But I have no idea what hipster techno is. All genres suffer from a glutton of weak a$$ tracks.

Dixon, boiler room, etc.. total hipster rubbish. repetitive, boring, almost looks like acting.. hipsters love it, giving rave a bad name. Attending for the love of looking cool, not music.

I'm sure the music you play is vastly superior and much edgier. We probably haven't even heard of it.
