Well I was amazed by this Milton Jackson song "Open my eyes", so that was one of my plusses. The bassline later in the track just blew me away.
I just know there's gotta be a D&B remix of it!!!

    Worst of 2009

Indie/Hipster Dance Music. You guys have stolen electro and turned i into the new trance. Fuck You! I've heard enough Hot Chip/Passion Pit remixes to last me forever and the another forever.

Bassline/Fidget/Electro/Dirty House: I realize most of you are too young to remember a shitty trend that swept the world back in the mid-90's called "Hard House," but all these genres are the exact same shit. It sucked 15 years ago and it sucks today. It's compounded by the fact that most of the retards that play it are shitty DJ's that think if they play banger after banger of this shit that it will soud good.

    Dubstep
: Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of lots of dubstep, but the grabage that's being put and played is beginning to enter the realm of ridiculous at this point, and it smacks of DnB a la 1999/2000. All half the songs really are is a bassline competition and people seem to be eating it up.

    Best Of 2009

    UK Funky/Bashment
: I know some people earlier in the thread have already dissed this, but I think it's an interesting new take on 125is beats. Part of it comes from living in Latin America where dancehall/cumbia is THE music. But another part comes from a being a long time DJ that appreciates an alternative to traditional house tempo tunes.

DO NOT ever compare DJ Tiesto to Richi Hawtin. I will find you and eat your first born.

Last I checked, more people respect Hawtin than Tiesto. At least Hawtin pioneers a new medium of performance, and intelligently defends his stance on using them with logic and factual statements, all while being diplomatic on behalf of both sides of the argument. For the record, I'm not really a big fan of Hawtin or Tiesto, so my views on them aren't really based on preference.

I gotta give credit where credit is due though, Tiesto has pioneered the ability to dodge the people who buy his tickets and CDs lol

Fail, that usually seems to happen when people gets to famous.

When sinden played here in Sweden I went to the edge of the stage (as I had found a wallet and I gav eit to teh club owner who stood) there, I asked if I could have a word with sinden. We spoke for maybe 2 min and he gave me a bunch of MEGA MEGA MEGA stickers
