um.... that's alot of black...
looks like a sick setup though
Awesome setup Romeo,
what type of speakers do I see?
You're right, its a lot of black. I regret it a bit coz its getting easily dusty.
My speakers are approximately 20year old crappy sony's with a active sub under the table.
They dont sound like KRK Rockits but they're still okay for me.
I tried QSC-K Series Speakers at my local dj-store and maybe i wanna get me a pair of 12" Speaker with Sub if i have some cash
But my neighbors wont be so happy about that hehehe

A bit of an upgrade, from
to this:
(Sorry for picture quality... as you can see I have other interests than purchasing a camera for photography)
You don't see the speakers but they're in the same general idea as the poster above. They're further apart and you can see the corner of ye olde amplifier that goes with it on the left.

You're right, PA speakers are to big for monitoring but sometimes i wanna crank the sound up till everything is shaking
The HD25 II has a nice neutral sound and the audio isolation is top notch. The downside is you may find it almost crushes the ears (physically) after a couple of hours. Other than that, since they're very lightweight, you'll hardly feel you have them on.
Only the left cup swivels, and from front to back, which is unusual but many, many people out there don't seem to find it to be a problem.
The only thing i'd do differently if I had to buy them again would be to take the straight cord version (2 meters) instead of the coiled cord version (3 meters... uncoiled) which is the HD25 II C. The coiling can prove useful for djs who have to dig into their crates all the time, but when rocking a digital setup, this is quite redundant, unless you have some crazy stage antics.
The C cord almost feels like it weighs as much as the headphones themselves due to :
1)its actual weight
2)the tension in the coil
and it's coming off one side only, so I find it crushes my right ear faster.
(I'll probably end up buying a spare straight cord for a transplant).
Thank you for that review! Atm I'm looking for headphones. Lot's of people really love those Sennheisers. I had them once in my hands, they felt kind of "wobbly" and I didn't like the little connection cables from the ear shells. Didn't know that only the left one turns. I think I'll give them a second try
