Hi Scamo,

It's clear you have invested a lot of time and energy into leveraging out the capabilities of this controller. It's continued development is one I feel needs supporting since the DJTT TSI seems to be in a state of suspension and is currently unusable.

Hey Wow! Thanks for the offered support.

However, until I can actually take real time and devote it to developing and supporting this (or other) mapping(s), I am going to keep it "free" and not even take donations, because if I did, I'd feel much, much worse not being able to keep up any promises I've made, which I am not doing now either (and why I understand Ean's decision to keep the mappings free). I wanted to get my next versions out much sooner, but just haven't had the time, or actually, it's not really the time, but the frame of mind. It is hard to explain, but I have a normal job and a side business and DJing is a hobby I do to get my mind away from the other two "activities". However, when I DJ (and only in my "living room"), I want to play and mix music and not mess with more logical thinking, which is very much needed in my job and business. It is a strange excuse, I know, but it is my only one. Plus, I want to deliver even better means of explaining my mappings (with videos) and that takes time too and I suck at it. hehehe... I have a slightly big problem with putting out shoddy quality.

Maybe at some point, we'll take this mapping to another level and I'll get more professional with it. I am getting some F1s and also some MF3ds and will also be playing around with maps for them, especially the 3ds, to work with my S4 Effects Jogs mapping. Maybe I could go a bit professional then. Who knows?

But for now, I am going to have to beg for everyone's "patience". I have some time this weekend planned to continue work. I will most likely just be bringing out two more betas - the Builder with 4 deck support and the Full version with some new effect modes and 4 deck support. (I've also found a couple of bugs, which are also fixed.) If those version releases go well, then the gold will follow a bit later and hopefully with some videos to show off mapping an effect mode with the builder version and how to use the full version with some examples of how I would use the effect groups.

What I think is so cool about my mapping is, it opens up a whole world of FX creativity with Traktor, which makes the software and the S4 so much more interesting. Well, at least that is my opinion.

So let's cross our fingers that I don't get tied up in mixing songs and playing around with music and can concentrate on finishing the mappings for the next versions.

Even thinking about mapping makes my head hurt, so wanted to help you for helping me.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check it out when I get home later, but I thought that I altered your "Effect 3" amount correctly. When I push the jog in effect mode 4, I can control all 3 effects perfectly fine. The amount is correct as well. It just doesn't turn the effect ON in spite of my mapping assignment. Is there something that would prevent the effect from actually turning on when I press the jog?

Hmm...no, there is nothing in my mapping controlling the actual On/Off of the effects. I'd say there is unfortunately an issue with your mapping. Can you upload it as an attachment? I'll have a look at it.

Oh yeah. And the family too....they need their time too.

Yeah, I'd love to spend more time on this stuff, because it is nice to get cudos from people you don't even know, but who do acknowledge your work and that you've done something good for them in some way. That is the best kind of work there is, isn't it? And if you can make a living doing it too, that is really . That is why I think DJing is a cool profession too. Because you are doing something good for people and their dancing (or even cheering and screaming) is direct feedback that what you are doing is good too.

Thank you so much. I attached the file. As I said, I'm trying to get effect 3 of Effect Mode 4 to also turn on with the jog touch. You'll see at the very bottom of the mapping I added an "Effect 3 On" assignment. Let me know what you think.

I'm trying to get the jog touch to turn on Effect 3 in Mode 4. I added "Effect 3 On" assignments in the controller manager (all the way at the bottom of the list) but the jog touch still won't turn on Effect 3. I can change the value of Effect 3 with the jog wheel encoder, but I can't seem to figure out why it won't turn on with the jog. After looking at my mapping, do you know why Effect 3 won't turn on when I push the jog wheel in Mode 4? Like I said, I added "Effect 3 On" assignments that just don't do anything.

I understand what your problem is, I am just not seeing anything that looks like what you are explaining.

What effects are you seeing in mode 4? Especially effect 3. So I am sure I am looking at the same thing.
