I'm not sure what you're getting at then, but sure. I kind of thing that means you should have been playing more stuff live.

IDK....maybe this is just a difference of opinion. The closer a DJ set gets to Live Production, the less I care. The biggest excptions to this were Sasha when he was on Live with his Maven and Richie Hawtin. And, frankly, I've enjoyed Sasha shows more since he went back to decks. And Hawtin....well...I love me some minimal techno, but I don't think I'd choose to do exactly what he does even if I could just go out and do it tomorrow. I've played short stretches doing the same kinds of things, and....idk. It's fun. But I'm not the guy who made Spastic. After a while of programming little drum patterns, I start to wonder why I bought the songs that needed to be "fixed" in the first place.

The only reason I haven't gone to CDJs it is because I don't want to spend the money. And I find myself constantly switching back and forth between my DDJ-SX/SDJ and my X1/TP setups because I really can't decide whether I prefer the feeling of being limited or the feeling of standing around dong nothing.

Seriously....it's bothering me more than it should. The obvious solution is to get a bigger table and a nicer mixer, get my 1200s out of storage, buy a pair of CDJs, and put it all next to my laptop and X1s....and just pick what "thing" to play the next track on based on what toy I want to use.

I don't want it because I'm lazy or afraid of anything, I want it because I'm not this guy:

Agreed. Traktor already has more features than I'll ever use.

I agree as well, just needs improvements in areas

    Library and playlists
GUI in general should be updated
    More modular approach to controllers

Browser, Library handling, Playlists are the big issues for me and have been since the day I started with Traktor.

Also I want favourites removing from the traktorsettings.tsi and a new file format that can be loaded from a collection node folder that populates the Favourite slots.
Then you can load your Favourite settings for your Tuesday night 'Polka Gig' then the next day when you are at your 'Line Dancing Gig' you can load up another Favourites settings file. All this without risking corrupting your traktorsettings.tsi.

I play 4 completely different gigs a week and I have to reset the Favourite slots every night. Some of the playlists are always the same for a particular night each week (with the maybe a few new ones) and I get sick of dragging the same playlists around.

That's the kind of automation that would make my life easier.

    This. So Much!
I use a variety of hardware and audio/MIDI routing depending where I'm at. If I'm traveling, going to see a friend out of town or simply want to try something new between Traktor and other software at home. Having to fuss about with audio and MIDI routing is a PITA. Multiple libraries man...think of the possibilities! haha
