The what is new in Traktor Pro 2 thread

i had the same problem with lots of LEDs + sound problems in Traktor Pro (1) with the RDJ2 in combination with the Novation LaunchPad. Tonight I will check if these annoying sound problems occur or not in Traktor Pro 2(Windows 7, 64bit)! If not, it will be great because a launchpad without LED's sucks.

My launchpad with the mapping that is floating around on this board works great. Previously on the older version I would notice that the LED's where quite lagged. No more lag.

thought everyone knew that T2 would improve the way midi/audio is processed? 2 seperate threads instead of one?

means vci-300 guys might be able to use the vu meters in traktor now to...

For anyone that is missing the count to next bar when a track is not playing and you hover over the waveform...

Here is a workaround to make it work:
1. Drop a 1/32 loop
2. Turn down fader/volume for track
3. Hit play
4. At this point you should see the count to next cue

Not exactly the best solution but it does work and is better than looking at "snap" all the time

OK, I know I should read all 18 pages before I ask this...... but with TP2, S4 and midi controller: on the old traktor, when the midifighter was assigned to deck A or B, the "A" or "B" in my window would be highlighted.
With TP2, it's not, so I have NO idea which deck the midifighter is assigned to. I've tooled around, but it can't seem to work it, "A" and "B" are lit up blue on the screen all the time.

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

I picked up TPro 2 a little later than most. So far I'm really impressed, actually. As far as the things NOT hyped by NI that I have noticed:

Advanced mode FX reset bug: FIXED! Brilliant.
Keylock midi out on deck duplicate bug: FIXED
Keylock led stays on after duplicate and load to bug: FIXED
New midi process is working great. I have not been able to freeze my VCI, whereas before it would freeze often in fader fx mode.

Master out db level seems more accurate

Some things that I'm not sure are just in my head or not:
Advanced delay effect seems subtly different. Like it needs to be turned up to 50% to sound the same as 20% on TP 1.
Keylock quality sounds better (am I tripping)?

And yes, the waveforms are sick!
