I think 2.0 fixed a lot of the issues with Torq. It also added a lot of features, and cleaned up the interface. For $50, it's worth the upgrade for stability alone IMO.

Download version 2.0, use it for free for a month and if it is ok for you get it for just 50. Us dollars. Then you got a pretty sweet deal

Exactly. All I can say is you get what you pay for. Pay more money to a company like Rane or NI and you get a stable and consistent product that works well. Try to get away with paying less for something that isn't as consistent or well made and it bites you in the ass. This is why I spend more money on products that are important to me.

I disagree with this. How is a new company, with a potentially better product supposed to enter a market where people think like this? Does Traktor or Serato have the ability to use ANY VST effect? Mixmeister and Torq do. Hell, if I remember correctly, Torq can act as a plugin itself. RPM is a fantastic program that could probably be the most stable, functional program out there. Nobody uses it though, so they don't have a lot of money to develop it. (The interface is also very plain.) PCDJ had video mixing before Serato, and has some good effects, and it's stable and light on computer resources. How come nobody uses it? Because it's all about the brand names, people get caught up in the brand, and never consider that there's something better out there.

Ive said it before that people seem to have rose tinted spectacles on! (Im not knocking traktor btw, its a quality programme. But some software seems to get shot down)

There's some truth to this, but the OPs experience shows that in this case the opposite was true.
