Maybe it's not hardware :D
You're right djproben but coming from Sasha, who is not Pioneer sponsored (he was very late to switch to CDJs and uses Allen and Heath mixers) suggests its a genuine comment. We'll see tomorrow I guess.
Yeah that's the only reason I'm excited, I trust sasha here.
I'm feeling like a new apple goodie is being released. Like iphone 5 day or something haha.
Yeah.
He used CDJ-2000s with Rekordbox for a while…toyed around with Traktor 2, though IDK how long that stuck around. If he says its a game changer, I'm guessing either that the CDJ-2000Nexus (or whatever) is somehow really awesome or that they did something subtle like giving Rekordbox functionality to an iOS app, so you don't have to have a computer to use Rekordbox.
I don't really know what to expect, but I'll bet it'll be overpriced.
I think he's still using CDJ2000's, but with a DB4 and Rekordbox analyzed sticks. Occasionally he'll connect a MBP with ableton for samples every now and again if I'm not mistaken. He was definitely using T2 recently, as my buddy who was at his show was quite bummed about (he's a vinyl purist).
But I definitely fourth the notion that if Sasha is standing behind the product, it must at least be interesting (and overpriced).

That actually looks like it could be fun.
Anyone want to speculate on price? $1500USD street?
OK Game changing for sure but not necessarily in the good way. And I thought I was tired of hearing poorly thought out button-mashing wonkathons with people overdoing effects, this will take it to a whole new level.... Still, looks like it will be a lot of fun to play with and I certainly would love to get my hands on one though I probably wont buy it.

According to the site the twitter post got the info from, the street price is € 699.00 ($914 USD). Sounds a bit cheap from Pio gear, and definitely cheaper than the EFX-1000. Would like to see a demo of what it does before I consider it, IMO the 900 has plenty of effects as it is...
