i´m 26 and started djing 8 years ago and to defend why i´m posting here: i´m a 13 years old boy in the body of 26 years old guy, but nobody believes me :/
I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.

I'm 26 and I started producing in middle school? I had an interest in djing at that point, but I wouldn't have ever considered myself a dj? I think these cats need to be more clear about what they were doing in their dj career at such early stages in life...
I started writing music when I was like 14, but that was a metal band and I played a guitar. I didn't really get into electronic music until I was like 17 or 18. When I was 19 I bought, but I'm just now learning and working with it a lot, unfortunately no longer a teen.
i started djing at 13, back in 1993. Better to start young and learn everything you can about djing, music & producing, edit & remixing.

People still listen to real electro here, so I assume you mean Electro house.
I wish I had started as young as you guys, I've been teaching some very basic concepts to my nephew to overcompensate for my late start. He's only 4 but he likes to play with the effects, and actually does seem to get the timing already.![]()
If there's any large life lessons I learned through Dj'ing, it's to keep it subtle.
Being flashy and tacky is the worst possible thing. If you're good enough and have a decent skill set, you'll be fine. The showoffs start to fizzle out really quickly. Talent prevails in the end.
