I've got a friend who works airport security. If you say the word bomb they can, and will, destroy every single thing you have taken to the airport. Then once they have destroyed everything, they will arrest you.

    Fun times indeed.

Any idea if they'll harass me with my gear? I mean I know I can explain to them what each does and then like create a beat for them as well but I just don't want to take any chance and get anything confiscated.

I don't see why you care? To them it just looks like computer gadgets. If you act suspicious about it then you're giving them a reason to care. I've traveled with gear, it's not really a big deal pal - just carry it with you.

You're probably right, however if you've traveled especially State side as a brown person they give you shit anyway - and my Dad told me and suggested that I A) either ask people of their experiences or B) Check it in.

Keep in mind my Dad walks around in fancy suits, always traveling either first or business class and travels multiple times in a month. So if he's warning me it's probably for a good reason.

Thanks for the feed back though.

i allways carry all my gear in my bag when flying never had a problem with it

NEVER put anything in a suitcase unless its strong the 1 time my bag was full and i had to put my xone 1d in my suit case,i watched from the plane them loading the bags they just tossing them about got my x1 out at the other end and it was scratched and had chips out of some of the buttons

you will be fine with it in hand luggage tho.

I've had better luck checking firearms in a gun case than I have clothes in a suitcase.

    Just sayin'.

But, I wouldn't check music gear if I could possibly help it. The stuff you mentioned isn't that big. Pack light and mail yourself clothes if you have to.

Also, yeah…I've given up checking luggage, especially with the new restrictions and costs. The last time I flew, it was cheaper to fed-ex myself the non-carry-on suitcase than it was to pay for baggage. It also beat me to my final destination.

People fly with gear all the time you have nothing to worry about. If they want to know what it is tell them. However, given the fact that you're this nervous now I would expect a full cavity search by the time it comes to flying.
