A year ago. Bought an X1 and a mixtrack - started to get ahead of myself and use 4 decks so I invested in an S4 about 4 months ago - looking for my first gig now.

I'm the latest bloomer lol. Started 1.5 years ago when I was a ripe old 45. Still consider myself a noob, as I have less than 1/2 the time to devote to it as I would have in my teens and 20's. Loving every minute I can find to devote to it.

I started when I was 16. Was playing drums in a band and met a mate who was DJing.

Went to my first 'Rave' and kinda liked it.

Got myself decks and a mixer when I turned 18.

I started when i was 13.. turned 14 a month later. Bought myself a cheap mixer and akai LPD8. Eventually i moved up to a midi fighter.. Sold that away along with the lpd8. I'm 15 now and finally got enough to pay off half my S4, my father helped me out with the other half. I have a gig at a local ice rink now.. Consistent residency at least one night a week... I'm an Honors/AP level student in high school.
