I have SSL running into channels 2&3 on my DJM-800 and my CDJs plugged into 1&4. If mates come over they usually plug into channel 4. I generally only use 2 or max 3 channels at a time but I have so many different inputs I'd be unplugging and replugging things constantly if I didn't have 4 channels on the mixer.

Seems like a lot of people's issues could be solved by buying vestax and having more than one line input per channel.

My Denon has matrix input, which is *great*, you can pretty much assign everything to anything, if I found a 2/3-channel mixer with the same thing, I might just pick up that instead.

Matrix input should be standard on all premium mixers, it's a brilliant idea.

Vestax used to make one…it was amazing. It didn't sell that well partially because it was huge but mostly because Pioneer has better marketing and people don't know what quality is when they see/feel it.

I'd use/buy one in a heartbeat if I could find one that I could afford.

I use only two regularly, a third when recording on occasion for acapella's or loops. If I had a proper compact midi controller with I/O interface (in the market), I would use all 4 channels instantly.

I regularly use 3 deck mixing, especially useful when tracks don't have good intros/outros and you wanna make it smooth. And like one of the guys above me said Denon's matrix implementation can't be beat, sooooo much flexibility.

This is why I want a 2-channel mixer with an aux channel, like... a 2-channel Xone:42 or something.

Yes. I have CDJs hooked up to channels 1 and 4 and my 1210s hooked up to 2 and 3. I play vinyl and CDs all the time.

I also do 3-4 deck mixing most of the time.
