i used to live on the countryside next to Berlin. I cant count how many times i have been chased by different animals (Bulls and cows, Wildpig´s, horses..you name it). On the otherhand i only had to run once in Berlin itself. Been mugged by a gang on the Kuh-Damm area(hedge knows what im talking ´bout). Had to run cross several roads, up the train station and barely made it on time.geez, good times.

Hanging around with criminals also educates on the situations one should avoid. Hell, we even have areas where you can be beaten by looking a stranger in the eye.

But those things are minor in relevance to the good things in life. Counting up those would clearly rip this board.

I hope you all do well, i surely do. however.

smalltowns are way scarier because there's always the off chance a bear can jump out of the bushes and tear you apart for lunch.

I've seen tons of bears and wrestled my fair share as well. Not a problem for us folk who live in the middle of nowhere.

I refuse to live my life in fear, the chances of this happening to you is very slim.

Be aware not alarmed - living your life in fear will only ruin your life. Not to mention that being in fear makes you even more of a bigger target but also far more prone to being manipulated, thats why the media runs constant fear campains about this sort of stuff because people in fear are much much more easily controllable.

Don't be afraid of the world you live in, grab it by the horns and take it for the ride of your life - you will be a much happier stronger person because of it.

Sorry to hear about your story though, its sad stuff like this happens.
