    not down under... i blamed ghb and ice for destroying the club culture here.

    the big 'rave' clubs in melbourne would pack out every week back in 01-03, then ghb came onto the scene which started the demise, then the ice came and put the nails into the coffin.

    people would spend the majority of the night out in their cars in the carparks smoking ice. after a while everyone skipped going out all together and would just go around to peoples houses and smoke.

    one of the bigger melbourne club nights would sell out (approx 1500-2000 punters) every week during that 01-03 period. and we had internationals playing at least 2 fridays a month early in the piece and there was a while there in 02-03 that we had at least one international every friday night.
