dont get why you wanna get a new macbook if you got one that works for you?
and then it's really somewhat useless to ask a forum full of gearwhore-controllerist whether to get some notebook or an awesome lemur
so +1 lemur

Hardly
Multi Touch native support for your OS does not mean that your monitor will support being touched. You will still have to shell out the dough to get a multi-touch enabled monitor, which will not be cheap. So you will have 2 notebook computers, an external touchscreen monitor cause your notebooks aren't touchscreen, 2 different OS's, and a shit ton of headache because windows 7 won't work right, correct?multi touch native support will be available within the year on windows 7 (most likely), ...within 3 months of windows 7 release you'll be able to create your own custom touchscreen console to control your MAC and windows systems in sync.
[QUOTE]$2000 = a LIMITED USE TOUCHSCREEN (Lemur)[QUOTE]
not limited use at all.

and another worthwhile point to mention is that although the Windows 7 OS will have multi-touch support, in order to get decent functionality out of Traktor Pro, Ableton Live and the likes, the programs will have to be recoded to support the multi-touch api's and drivers. Lemur bypasses this requirement.

If you already have a mac, don't buy another.
As for the Lemur, i'm not sold...I cant play games properly or even text that accurately on my iPhone as your never sure if you have actually touched the screen in the correct place, so the idea of DJing on a touch screen seems wrong for me. Although I love the idea of touch screens I do like to have the feel of buttons and nobs.
I say buy an xone 4d or 92. : D
