^Yes but doesn't apple have tight restrictions about compatible hardware. It came up in a thread a while back about Traktor DJ. NI & Apple would need to make a deal of some sorts to make it happen, or so I 've read.

[QUOTE=Karlos Santos;693152]Yeah there would need to be a new soundcard (A6/10) that powered the iOS device in the way that the latest Audio 2 does.
I'd say that was very feasible, as long as the new soundcard was a 'Made For iOS' device.
I just hope 2015 is the year that some of the bigger companies push "full featured" software out to IOS. The time has come where the processors on mobile devices are as fast, and faster than those a few measly years back (core2duo) yet we are stuck with ridiculously cut down versions of the software on mobile - for the most part.
Sure I'd be willing to sacrifice a few things, but at least bring the software as useable as what it was back then e.g. Ableton, Traktor, Serato. I can live without colored waveforms and fancy key lock algorithms, but how about the effects, cue points, controller support and midi mapping.
Surely at least the number of features in Traktor 3.3 for example could be added at this point in time, which I might add worked great on as little as a puny intel atom.
Yep there are some major restrictions set by Apple on 'Made For iOS' devices and apps that NI or anyone else in the 'MFi' program have to adhere to. There wouldn't be a deal made. NI would simply have to make the device/app compliant with the restrictions. These restrictions would not affect the use of the soundcard for DVS.
They are also releasing an external effects controller that bolts on to the S series controllers. They will call it the Traktor Trailer...

Podcasting 101: How to get into iTunes (the Q&A thread)on DJTT Antifmradio.com
I disagree, just for DVS you don't need a big brain - hell 500mhz processors were doing DVS reasonably fine back in '99, and the DJplayer App runs DVS with an Audio 6 pretty darn well according to reports and thats just a very small outfit.
Seems that its not hardware limitations anymore, its down to the bigger software companies holding back. I'm sure NI and Serato really don't want to make DVS available for $20 to the masses by making their soundcards fully MFi compliant. And I cant imagine app hardware locks like the desktop version being even allowed by Apple in the first place to ensure people shell out $ for their (expensive) soundcards![]()
+1 Apparently proper ipad remote browsing/loading is something that will be integrated in the next incarnation of Serato Remote according to their forums, perhaps NI will do something similar soon enough.
