YES you will regret it, i guarantee it...if you are gigging and have to stare into your computer screen then it will turn your crowd off. If you dj at home and have to get litterally 3 feet away to see a detail then you will regret it....wait and save a find a windows alternative that is cheaper.

I had both choices and i decided to go windows for this reason, and tbh the resolution on mac's are piss poor by today's standards. Resolution will be just as important as screen size because seeing things more clearly will not make you lean into the computer as much. This was a huge issue for me which is why i went with this >>>http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+...%207&cp=1&lp=4

it has 15.6" screen and 1600x900 resolution along with an anti-glare screen which apple makes you pay like $150 more for....I was in your boat for a while though so its a tough decision.

    FYI, they don't.
Tweak would be a better word. On my old PC, I had to spend time tracking down what was causing DPC, disabling ACPI, disabling flash card slot, and installing 4 different versions of the nVidia GFX driver before finding one that worked properly.

I got it working eventually 'cos I know my way round a computer, and didn't suffer any dropouts from that time on.

I haven't had a single issue on a OSX based laptop.

The interesting thing in my own personal experience is that I've seen nothing but the same thing... only that it NEVER happened with serato. User experience with Serato on a PC was what I've had with Traktor and Mac. It was always plug and play without any tweaks

In roughly a decade, this hasn't been close to being true, and only keeps being perpetuated by Apples slick marketing over the years, and basing it off of what used to be very true 15 years ago.

I've never heard that. Got any links to back this up? I work in a photo department for one of the top 100 websites in the world, and they use mac. I'd find it hard to believe a company with so much money would waste money on computers that limit the tools of their employees.

Blowhards are usually quick to defend their fragile ego's and ignore the fact that this is far from a black and white issue... or facts in general.

Interesting fact. Do you have links to that info? I'd be interested in spreading that around if it's true.

I find it hilarious that people find it so hard to believe that it's possible. Ignorance does wonders for the ego I suppose.
