I don't know why no one has made an external send and return box that you can plug into a mixer between your cdj/TT and the mixer, so you can route whatever channel you want to the external effects then back into the mixer to be eq'd as normal, I wanted something like it when I stopped using my djm600 a year or so ago and could no longer use my efx1000 or kp2 as a result... it would mean no post fader delay without a unit like the efx of rmx that can modify the level of both the input and the output of the effect unit. or sending the effect to the master, but did anyone really care about post fader delay's until jesus spoke...

p.s. guiltyblade your signature says you have a djm700... that has a send and return, so you don't need a new mixer at all

now we get to see what this baby was made for, watching it now...

that's false advertising, most of it was using the korg... It seemed to me that the rmx was too wet absolutly killing the main track when he first used it, although the roll and white noise he did after that was pretty effective, but as armyofme showed it's possible in traktor with the beatmasher, iceverb and echo and I have done it in vdj with noisebell and looproll...

One thing is for sure though James Zabiela has to be the happiest dj on earth and acid still rules the rave.

If that's what JZ got out of it, I'm not the least bit impressed.

To be fair its a 4 min video. I wouldn't really want much more than that in 4 mins.

Got to play with this thing quite a bit at WMC; it's definitely all it promises to be and maybe then some. The effects sound nice but they are just way too heavy handed for me; the fact that this thing is easy to use just means we are going to hear these effects over and over all over the place. Hearing many DJs day after day at WMC has really made me appreciate those who don't over-use effects and just concentrate on a smooth mix. Even some well established DJs were way over-doing it with filters and effects; I fear that this tool will just tempt more and more of that sort of nonsense. There is no reason to flange in and out every 16 bars. You don't need to filter things out at max resonance every time. You don't need to echo out of every song. I'm convinced David Morales built up those muscles he loves to show off by too much tweaking filters and EQs. These are great tools but in the hands of the wrong people they are un-musical in my opinion. But I also don't want to say easy to use effects shouldn't be in the hands of the "masses"; just that it would be nice if the "industry standard" products encouraged more subtle use of them.

This video is pretty good at explaining the features of the unit, I like that you can change the settings in you computer to upload to the device via sd, still won't entertain the thought of getting it though...
