Maps - Controller Mappings Forum?

Hey John,

Now that Maps is online (great work BTW), how about we close the "Controller Mappings" forum so no new threads can be started and create a new forum called "Controller Mapping Discussions"

or

just rename the current forum to "Controller Mapping Discussions"?

The idea is to get people to use the new mapping database for mapping publications.

that'd make sense.. a sticky with a link to maps is a must!

and is it somehow possible to port these mappings?

I was thinking about this yesterday. How are we planning to get the current mappings posted into the Maps? Can we stick each mapping on it's own page and then have a claim this mapping link? It would need some type of approval process I guess to make sure it really was their mapping.

In general, I think a ToS is missing for DJTT.

Make available to upload 2 files instead of just 1 ... in my case i was trying to upload my Lemur-Serato Map but the problem is that if you upload only mappings you wont have the lemur file ...

@Kanmat - You could just zip the files together, couldn't you?

We could send out an email to the forum users (using vBulletin) and request, if they have added a mapping in the forum, to move it themselves to the new mapping database????

that is probably better than just adding them automatically (if this is even possible)
