Default Traktor & Akai Lpd 8

    Hi out there!
I know there is another thread about this subject but It dosen't answers me on my questions.

Okay here is the deal. Im a knew on the hole dj'ing thing, and I got an Akai Lpd8 this week. I wanna use it as an FX controller for my Reloop Digital Jockey 2.

But I think I have the wrong "setup" for the editor (Software), because I've been following some guides, and the first thing I do, is to loade a certain preset, into the editor, then I open Traktor and add the maching TSI file to the Midi Setup.

But nothing happens, and it's like Traktor isent responding or reacting when I push any pads on the Lpd. The blue Midi button in the top isen't lighting up netiher. Or If I try to use "Learn" under the mapping, nothing is happening when I try to push some of the pads?

I would really appreciate if anyone could or would try to help me

have you tried with the pads set to pads and cc ? not sure what the actual difference is but its a possibility this could be your issue.

I had the same problem with my lpd8 in combination with my reloop digital jockey 2. With me it was solved by doing an update of windows vista.

Im not really sure what you mean, can you try to explain it more detailed?
Are talking about a change in the editor or traktor?

When i first connected the lpd8 to my laptop i couldn't load presets into my lpd8. When i tried to upload i didn't get the green message "upload done" and the midi signals wheren't recognized in traktor pro. I tried everything but nothing worked. When i was looking arround on other site's i get the tip to look wich service pack i was using of vista. And it seems that the lpd8 software only worked with the service pack 2. So i did the update and afterwards everything worked.

Maybe you can send an e-mail to akai and ask for a driver for windows xp service pack 2. I don't know but is there a service pack 3 for windows xp?Maybe you can try that.

Then i think it's best to update to service pack 3. And i forgot that the lpd is plug and play so you don't need a driver.

There are 4 buttons on the left... one says pads and one says cc these put the pads into different modes. Not played with mine much so it was just a quick blind suggestion from my findings in the brief time that ive had it out.
