Akai LPD8 question

i have no idea if this question is for this category i apologize if it isn't. I'm new to the scene. i use the pads of my akai LPD8 for effects in Ableton Live, but i have to press it twice to turn off the effect. i want to make it so i can hold down the pad or just tap it to make the effect happen. I have Ableton 6, Akai LPD8 and the editing software. is it possible?

Set the pads to momentary in the editor, instead of toggle.
