Does this happen with Your NI-Audio2?
I have 2 amps running in crossover mode.
1 amp powers left top and left sub.
the other amp powers the other side.
One side has significantly less sub. output than the other.
1/4" out to RCA. its the red rca that always has less bass.
just bought new cables for the third time. happens every time..

hrm.
Have you tried running tones for tests?
Just run a nice low sine, around 50ish hz. Then gauge if you are still having a problem.
What amps are you using?
What subs are you using?
Have you tried switching the subs out (put sub a on amp b and so on)?
-
using qsc grx5's and harbinger subs.
yea i switched the subs out. its just whichever subwoofer is connected to the amp that has the right signal (red) through it.
-
try setting your output to mono. Does this fix the problem?
Man... its really annoying that the gx5 doesnt have a link out option. If that was the case, I would recommend sending both rcas to 1, and then linking the channels out via xlr to the other.
EDIT:
Your setup right now is a 1/4 inch to dual rca splitter right? You then send one rca to each amp?

yeah its 1/4" to rca. i send one rca to each amp- both to channel 1. then XLR to the 2 tops and 2 subs.
-
the unbalanced audio is something that I had always suspected of my sound card, except I always had cheap speakers and a cheap home theater amp. now that I have a decent system, its obviously noticable.. sucks bc the quieter sub is about 1/3 as loud as the other..
-
think you mean speakon there....
Regardless: you are hooking the rcas up to channel 1 on both subs (red rca still has to go into the white jack), and both of them are in xover mode?
If thats the case... it should be working. Since you say that you already have swapped the subs and amps out (thus proving that all subs, and amps are working correctly)... I'm kind of at a loss. make sure your pan knobs are not turned? and your outputs are routed correctly? Sorry I've not been much help.
-
oops! speakon. lolz
no, you actually were a help bc now I know im not the only one at a loss. haha
its weird too bc both tops work evenly, its just the subwoofer on that channel.. hmm..
gonna have to try out a different sound card then... or just stack the subs on top of eachother haha
either way, need to get a new card w/ more channels since i'm plannin on gettin a Vinyl setup soon.
Once again: thanks Sine!!!

One more question.
Your 1/4 inch to rca converter. Is the 1/4 side TS or TRS?
EDIT
Regardless of how you are amping it... its usually a good idea to run your subs right next to each other, or more than 50 feet apart, because of phase issues that spltting them up can introduces. I generally like to run my subs in mono... but, the qsc system is really designed to run a sub and top combo on each amp... which isnt the best solution in my opinion.
-
it only has one black notch on it. so "unbalanced" right? lol
Edit:
nevermind. read the question wrong. my 1/4" to rca, coming from my sound card is balanced. has 2 black lines on it
