Default Cheap lappy stand for you UK tech toolers

Just thought I'd give you fine people the heads up on one of my recent purchase/finding.

    DJ Laptop stand from maplins.co.uk:

I bought one of these a month or so ago, I couldnt face dropping £70 on a stanton stand. This set me back £20.

Its a decent bit of kit for the price, nowhere near as portable as the stanton but its very sturdy and would definately suit budding bedroom dj's who dont need to move it often, such as myself.

Its a proper solid construction made of 3mm thick steel which gives no wobble at all and comfortably supports my 19.5" acer laptop. Foam pads on the bottom and the laptop cradle provide decent grip. It has adjustable height and width, and has a small tray for whatever you fancy.

Theres quite a large vertical lip on the feet, they incline to about an inch at the very rear of the stand which could be an issue for some people. It'd probably fit under a turntable, though i do not own one, so cant confirm.

Basically, im really pleased with it and wouldnt have any worries about gigging with it. I think the price speaks for itself really.

Nice find. For £20 you can't go wrong. It looks like the Millenium Laptop stand - but £20 is cheaper than I've seen it anywhere else...
