How to use Apc40's 8 channels in DJM-800 ?

I want know that, how can i use my apc40's 8 channels at the same time in DJ-M 800. Do i need to configure it from ableton or do i need some cables for it ?

you need a sound interface between the two in order to even relay, but how do you plan on using 8 channels on a 4 channel mixer?.

What audio interface are you running???

I have m-audio firewire audiophile soundcard.

i'm trying to get a sound from each channels of apc40s to djm-800 mixer.

I'm playing live with apc40 but i can only use 4 channel, do i need to get soundcard with 8/8 inputs & outputs or what ?

tracks 1 and 5 are assigned to channel 1 in the mixer, and will bring effects clips (transitions, fx, vocals samples) PLUS the returns of 4 effects (A, B, C, D).

tracks 2 and 6 assigned to mixer channel 2
tracks 3 and 7 assigned to mixer channel 3
tracks 4 and 8 assigned to mixer channel 4
those tracks are the tracks with my standard tunes.

i will try to put one auto-filter basic fx in insert on EACH ableton track, which will be controlled by the device control section at the low right of the apc40.

i selected 4 nice FXs and inserted them into 4 aux tracks (A B C D), which will be controlled by the track control section at the top right of the apc40 (i remapped PAN with send D).

will it work ?
