What do you guys recommend as a good dj bag (backpack, not a one-strap) for travelling?

For laptop, traktor, X1, headphones, wires, needles, etc..you get the idea...

looking at all kinds but not sure whats best, and I dont wanna spend 200$..

    ideas?

    thx

The two biggest Yak Pak backpacks look alright. I was also thinking of going military and getting nice big backpacks with lots of pockets from some of the army surplus stores.

I was about to say the exact same thing.. Anything MOLLE compatible will allow major customization.

Good sized pouches with dividers and stuff always makes a difference.

I went with a camelbak motherload
    http://www.camelbak.com/government-m...otherlode.aspx of course in Multicam

to even out the pack bottom I went with an Endom Fattie

you may end up spending more.. but this stuff will not rip/tear/breakdown
Ive had it fully loaded and it fits in the overhead.
not that you would want to.. but you could fit a cdj2000 easily in the main compartment. I normally put my entire laptop bag in there.. so its more safe than the UDG backpack.

If you want really nice backpacks or bags...atleast better quality than everything I see being mentioned, Magma, UDG. take a look at stuff from Maxpedition..

this isnt a backpack.. but qualifies as a laptop bag on flights .. so you can have the 1 carry on and laptopbag... this is the mother of all laptop bags

here are some detailed hi res pics

If you need to carry a pistol and have the permit for it... you can mount a special holster in the bag to shoot anyone asking you to play pop music.

I have a namba big studio bag. It's very nice and cheaper than mono bags. I can fit 2 kontrol x1s, 13 inch MacBook, USB hub, headphones, cords, nanokontrol, power adapters, mouse, laptop stand, audio interface. It does end up pretty big though. You can check out bags fromm UDG, Mono, Namba, Magma, Slappa, etc.
