Default can anyone give me some pointers on a custom paint job?

Hi all.I'm looking at getting a cheap Oxygen8 v2 for my brother for Christmas to get him into digital DJing and away from the turntables and I want to give it a custom paint job but I've never done it before. Anyone have any pointers or can point me to a good guide? the main silver part will most likely just be scrubbed clean, primed, light grade sanded, sprayed, light sanding again and possibly repeat I assume and taking it apart to do it should be no problem (I've taken enough things apart and reassembled them to be fairly competent at it).

I might want to do some colouring with the keys too but they might prove to be too troublesome with the finish they have.

Any hints and help would be greatly appreciated.

Krylon makes a paint that's made to adhere to plastic good. Lots of light coats and try to do it in an area that wont have dust flying around. You can make a make shift paint booth with a cardboard box and trash bags taped to it to keep that kind of flying debris on it.

^^ Krylon Fusion (attaches to plastic without sanding)

but imo, you can also get a custom layout sticker photoshopped or whatnot onto the controller from styleflip.com
